ABOUT
Before coming to tattooing, I was a full-time oil painter, taking commissions and selling paintings in the American gallery scene. I’ve placed in The Art Renewal Center Annual Salon, The Portrait Society of Canada, The Portrait Society of American annual competition, and many others over the years. I also appeared in an episode of Star Portraits by Bravo! TV (I won!), but I hadn't figured out my bangs yet and it was honestly a bad time for me to be on TV. For a number of years I ran a humorous instructional painting blog with my husband, David Gluck, called Painting Stuff to Look Like Stuff, which we had to take down because we have kids now and they don't deserve to be embarrassed by their parents trying to be funny on the internet.

Fifteen years ago, David and I were lucky enough to apprentice with the excessively innovative and talented Joshua Carlton, and with that, we made the jump to tattooing. This pivot has been incredibly rewarding and just plain fun. I still get to make pretty pictures all day, I enjoy my clients, and I love the challenge of custom design work.

Dave and I now divide our time between tattooing, painting, and raising our two kids. We share a studio in Cowichan Bay, on the unceded traditional lands of the Cowichan People. We love working together and our days together at the shop are filled with creativity, laughs, and the expected amount of workplace sexual harassment.
